My name is Anita Jones, and I started Another Jones Graphics in 1982 to bring high-quality graphic design to independent clients who did not want to work with large advertising agencies. Backed by more than 20 years of book design experience and 35 years working in graphic design, I know how to create designs that pop.
I’ve always loved art. My mother was the in-house fashion illustrator and advertising director for a large department store in Traverse City, MI. I grew up watching her express her creativity. Maybe that was the spark that led me to attend Kendall School of Design, where I focused on Advertising Design.
After I graduated, I worked in a variety of different design jobs where I applied art to solve problems. These included advertising agencies and educational book publishers. This is where I realized I could integrate my love for books with art through designing them.
Today, I live in Missoula, MT where I continue to use art to help clients create exciting, eye-catching books and promotional materials. Thanks to the internet, I work with people from around the world, and I’ve worked on projects I never imagined in art school!
In addition to my work, I’m also an avid quilter and active member of the local quilt guild, an artist, a docent at the Missoula Art Museum, and a cook. I enjoy spending time in Montana’s great outdoors with my family and grandson.
Your Personal Advocate
I understand that self-publishers are on their own, and I become an advocate to help you get your project where it needs to be be. I walk you through the entire process, including everything from compiling the right files to helping you get your information to the printers. My focus is in print; however, I can offer referrals to reputable e-book designers and distributors.
I can work with your distributor and assist you with press releases, creating professional yet artistic designs that attract the reader’s eye. Clients hold all rights and own their own files. For samples of my work, contact me today or see my gallery of book covers.
Simply send me a Word file of sample section of your book for inspiration. I’ll then collaborate with you to blend your vision with my unique designs. I have access to a large collection of stock images that can be used royalty free and am always happy to incorporate your own images if the resolution is high enough. I know what fonts are easiest on the eyes and offer an array of font styles to choose from.
